Throughout history, people have put the special characteristics of metal compounds such as copper, tin and nickel to work in various applications that benefit lives and industry. The range of these diverse applications has broadened to include plastics, textiles, paints and inks, and electronics, in addition to materials in cutting-edge industries such as optical communications, secondary and fuel cell batteries.
Nikkasan's chemical products are the result of a half-century of accumulated technology and reliability. Our chemical lineup ranges from catalysts, which form the building blocks of products in diverse industries, to chemicals for plating, coating materials, printing ink, electrical conductivity, ceramics and glass, and battery materials.
In recent years, we have been conducting product development in response to technological innovation in industry. These efforts are exemplified by our launch of en applications.
Nikkasan produces a variety of inorganic metal products to meet the diverse needs of customers in fields from pottery to electronics. We are particularly concentrating on broadening applications in leading-edge technologies. Consequently, we are working to provide stable quality using our proven particle control technology developed through our many years of experience to develop new products and to meet the exacting demands of our customers.
As the first company in Japan to manufacture the metallic soaps naphthenic acid and 2-ethylhexoic acid starting in 1953, Nikkasan has a long history of developing specialty organic metal compounds for leading-edge industries. Our metal acetylacetonate complex Nacem is used as a plastic cross-linking agent, a metal oxide thin film coating agent, and a catalyst for organic synthesis. Our metallic soaps are used as drying agents for paints and printing ink, resin hardening agents, catalysts for organic synthesis and metal oxide thin film coating agents.
Nikkasan works toward the development of various types of saline and brightener and those of alloy plating process in order to address a broad range of surface treatments from general decorations and rust-preventive agents to devices for the electronics industries.
