  • August 1939

    Jiro and Saburo Yanagisawa, founders of the Company, established Yanagisawa Organic Chemical Industry in current Shinden, Adachi-ku, Tokyo.

    Acquired Towa Kagaku Industry Co., Ltd. and changed the company name to Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Co., Ltd.

    Merged Yanagisawa Organic Chemical Industry into Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Co., Ltd.to unify manufacturing and sales.

  • June 1952

    Established a branch office in Osaka to develop sales channels in western Japan.

    Established a sales office in Nagoya. (Promoted it to a branch office in October 1963.)

    Constructed the Saitama Plant and laboratory in Soka, Saitama.

  • June 1967

    Constructed the Aoyagi Plant in Soka Industrial Park, Saitama, as a production base for the Building Materials Business.

    Constructed the Company’s head office building in Shitaya Tito-ku, Tokyo.

    Constructed the Otone Plant in Otonemachi, Kita Saitama-gun, Saitama (currently Kazo-shi), as a production base for the Chemicals Business.

    Obtained ISO 9002 certification for all items, at all plants that produce chemicals.

  • April 1999

    Established NEXAS ELECHEMIC Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Company, in Thailand.

  • October 1999

    The Building Materials Division obtained ISO 9002 certification for its housing materials products.

  • May 2000

    The Saitama, Fukushima No.1, and Otone plants, the General R&D Laboratory, and the Electrolysis Section of the Building Materials Division obtained ISO 14001 certification.

  • June 2000

    Established SIAM NKS Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, in Thailand.

    The Aoyagi Plant obtained ISO 14001 certification.

    The Chemicals Sales Division and the General R & D Laboratory obtained IS09001 certification.

    Established the Hanoi Representative Office in Vietnam.

    Liquidation of Nexus Elechemic Co., Ltd. completed.
